Field Scout · field map & yield check
Where does your field keep coming in weak?
Six summers of satellite say — and your combine checks it.
- Pick or draw a field. Same account and fields as the Hunch app.
- Field map: weak and strong patches that repeat summer after summer, farmland only.
- Yield check: upload a combine yield file and see whether the map held up. Free.

Use your Hunch app or Farm Reports login. Fields you add here show up in the app, and the other way round.
2 Your field
Tap each corner of the field on the map. Tap the first corner again to finish.
3 Field map · past summers
Every July–August image from the last six summers is compared with that summer's field average, farmland only. A patch has to land on the same side most years to count. About 30 seconds.

4 Yield check · your combine data · free
Export last harvest's yield for this field from John Deere Operations Center or Climate FieldView as a zipped shapefile. A zipped ISOXML TASKDATA folder off an ISOBUS display (CLAAS, Fendt, Case IH, New Holland), an ADAPT Standard export (.zip), CSV with lat/lon or GeoJSON also works. Hunch redraws the field map from only the summers before that harvest, then checks each patch against what the combine measured.
Your data
- The data is yours. We don't keep the file you upload. We keep only the cleaned 10 m grid and your result, so you can come back to it. Delete it and both are gone from our server.
- Without the dataset box, it's used for your yield check and nothing else. Nobody else sees it, except an agronomist you've shared the field with.
- With the dataset box, the cleaned 10 m yield grid joins the Nimpact field dataset, paired with satellite readings. It goes in without your name, email or farm name, and may be licensed to teams building crop models. The field's location goes with it. Take it out any time and it drops out of every dataset made after that.
- Never sold with your name on it, and never shown on the public scoreboard.
- Take it with you. Every checked file has a Download (ADAPT) button: your cleaned yield and our satellite readings, in the open format other farm software reads.

This reads what the satellite saw — it is not a diagnosis. Walk a weak patch before acting on it. The cleaned yield grid and result are kept so you can come back to them (the file itself isn't); delete one and it is gone from our server completely. They join the dataset only if you tick the box, and you can take that back any time.
